Need: {{need}}
Tools to compare: {{tools}}
Budget: {{budget}}
Constraints: {{constraints}}
Deliver:
1. Weighted CRITERIA (summing to 100) based on my real need, and why each weight.
2. Comparison TABLE with those criteria, a score from 1 to 5 and one sentence of justification per cell.
3. TOTAL COST over 12 months, including limits, extras and migration time.
4. WHAT YOU DO NOT SEE on the website: usage limits, vendor lock-in, data export, privacy policy.
5. RECOMMENDATION with a winner and a plan B if the winner raises its price.
6. A 30-MINUTE TEST to validate the decision before paying.
Rules: if you do not have current price or limit data, say so explicitly. Do not compare tools that do not fit my case just to fill the table.Variables to fill in
| Variable | What it means | Example |
|---|---|---|
need | What you need to solve | Transcribe 20 hours of interviews a month |
tools | Options to evaluate | Whisper API, Descript, Fireflies |
budget | How much you can spend | US$50/month |
constraints | Conditions | Confidential data, cannot leave the EU |
Tips
- Set the weights yourself before seeing the table: if the model sets them, the most famous brand wins.
- The 12-month total cost dismantles almost every impulse decision.
- Ask for the exit plan: if you cannot export your data, it is not a tool, it is a trap.
